Arrive in Lima in the evening. Overnight stay will be in a hotel around Lima with dinner included.
Take a morning flight to Tarapoto. After lunch, visit the Tunnel, a lower montane evergreen forest known for its diverse birdlife including the Black-and-White Hawk-Eagle, Orange-breasted Falcon, and Golden-tailed Sapphire. Stay for 2 days exploring feeders and prime photography spots.
Drive to Moyobamba for birding at feeders, spotting species like the Roset-crowned Crake and Fiery-capped Manakin
Visit the Royal Sunangel feeders and Arena Blancas reserve for hummingbird photography and birdwatching.
Early morning drive to the Abra Patricia reserve for endemic species such as the Emerald-bellied Puffleg and Rufous Antpitta. Overnight stay will be in the lodge.
Explore lagoons and feeders for the Marvelous Spatuletail.
Travel to the Leymebamba Chachapoyas area for sightings of the Gray-breasted Mountain-Toucan and Andean Condor. Visit hummingbird feeders for species like the Sword-billed Hummingbird.
Dedicate time to Abra Barro Negro, a high mountain pass, home to the Coppery Metaltail and mixed tanager flocks.
Early start for birdwatching near Jaen, looking for rare species such as the Pearl Kite and Marañon Crescent-chest.
Visit reserves near Olmos.
Early morning drive to Chiclayo for two days. Visit private reserves with feeders for the White-winged Guan and Tumbes Hummingbird. Explore for Many-colored Rush Tyrant and other unique birds.
Morning photography session for the Peruvian Sheartail and other special birds. Afternoon flight to Lima.
Flight back home.
